Hi! My name is Lauren, I am a birth and postpartum doula. I live on the West side of Cleveland with my husband, two kids, and three cats. I am honored to join you on this incredible journey through parenthood. With a heart full of compassion and a deep commitment to supporting parents, I left behind the corporate world to follow my dream of providing unwavering care to individuals like you.
My diverse journey has been shaped by various experiences, starting as a babysitter within my extended family and neighborhood. While my college education initially focused on Early Childhood Education, I ultimately obtained a degree in History and Gender Studies. This hands-on experience in
childcare, coupled with my desire to create an enriching environment for little ones, led me to explore the Montessori approach to education. I dedicated several years of my life working in Montessori childcare settings, witnessing the transformative impact of a nurturing and empowering environment
on children’s growth and development. I spent a few years as a nanny and on call sitter, supporting parents and children in their evolution.
As life unfolded, I embarked on a corporate career, immersing myself in a different world altogether. I was led to birth work before my children were born, but I was never able to fully commit to self-employment. I did my first birth doula training in 2015 with DONA and became immersed in the
amazing birth community in Cleveland.
However, the birth of my own children sparked a profound shift within me. The experience of bringing new life into the world, coupled with my own studies and experiences with the birthing process, ignited a passion for supporting women during this sacred and transformative time. It also taught me that even the best laid plans don’t always work as we hope, and we need to be flexible in birth and parenting.
Leaving the bustling world of corporate America behind was a pivotal moment in my life. It was then that I decided to follow my heart and embrace my true calling—to be a source of strength and empowerment for women and families like you. I am a firm believer that every parent deserves a nurturing companion by their side as they embark on the transformative and, let’s be honest, often chaotic path of bringing new life into the family.
In my doula practice, I wholeheartedly embrace and celebrate the diversity of families. I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all individuals, including non-traditional families and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. I firmly believe that every person deserves the same unwavering
support, compassion, and non-judgmental care throughout their unique journey of parenthood.

By fostering an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding, I strive to create a space where love, respect, and support are unwavering, regardless of the path you have traveled or the choices you have made. I also love animals and am happy to meet and love your pets!
When I am not immersed in the world of doula care or spending time with my family, you’ll often find me indulging in my other passions. Genealogy and family history research holds a special place in my heart, as I find great fulfillment in uncovering the stories and connections that shape our identities
and communities. I also work part-time at Playhouse Square, supporting our amazing city’s arts and theater district.
When I seek solace and inspiration, nature is my sanctuary. Exploring the great outdoors, breathing in the fresh air, and marveling at the wonders of the world remind me of the awe-inspiring journey we are all a part of. These passions allow me to bring a unique perspective and enriching experiences to
my doula practice, infusing it with creativity, curiosity, and a deep reverence for the interconnectedness of life.
