What is sleep training?
Sleep training is a method of helping babies/toddlers to learn to fall asleep on their own. Some babies do this early on, but many have trouble falling asleep or getting back to sleep without assistance. There are a few different methods used depending on parenting style and babies personality.
When can I start sleep training?
Many sleep trainers and experts recommend sleep training begin between 4-6 months of age. Around 4 months is when most babies have developed a regular sleep pattern and have begun to drop many of their night feedings. These are both signs that baby may be ready to begin sleep training. Every baby is different and we can help you decide if sleep training is right for you and your baby.
