I have jumped ship many times over trying to find my “thing”. What can I do that makes me happy and Xiomara feel fulfilled? What’s important to me? Dental assisting, nor anything else I had done, was NOT it and after 5 years I decided I didn’t want to continue being unhappy and just going through the motions day to day. After asking myself those questions and deeply thinking about the answers Postpartum doula work FOUND ME. It was a perfect fit. Supporting moms, helping families, and empowering women. That became my motto. It holds a special place in my heart. And I believe that being able to do this type of work has led me to find my center. My “thing”. My true calling. It’s truly a privilege and an honor and now one of my favorite things to do!
I was trained by certified professional midwife (CPM), certified childbirth educator, board certified behavior analyst (BCBA), and licensed behavior specialist (LBS), Beth Goldberg, and through Birth Arts International.
I am a Cleveland native, I have two children of my own, a lab named Princess Peach, I’m the youngest of 3, and I love tacos, candles, and penguins. I also believe that women have a deep instinctual sense of mothering and we need to give ourselves way more credit!
